Job Summary: The Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland, Inc. (PBRC) is seeking a highly motivated, technological savvy, and organized individual to help launch the Maryland Immigrant Legal Assistance Project’s Naturalization Clinics in collaboration with the Governor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs and the Citizenship Maryland initiative. Clinics will take place once per month at various locations, statewide (predominantly Baltimore City and Baltimore, Montgomery, and Prince George’s Counties). The right person will have 2-4 years of experience in immigration law (with an emphasis on naturalization applications), comfort working with and mentoring volunteers who do not primarily practice immigration law, and a willingness to help with administrative tasks necessary to providing pro se assistance with N-400 applications. It is a full-time position, with an initial contract for 6 months. However, if the program is successful, PBRC plans to seek funds to continue the position beyond the initial six months.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Design clinic service-delivery workflow, volunteer instructions, and client tools, in consultation with GOIA and other MILAP team members.
• Serving as the administrator for Citizenship Works, matching volunteers to clients.
• Reviewing the files referred to these clinics through Citizenship Maryland to confirm a service-seekers. appropriateness for completing their N-400 application for naturalization at a pro se clinic.
• Messing service-seekers prior to the clinic to confirm their appointment slot and field questions about how to find the clinic.
• Train volunteers on the law required to participate in the clinic as well as clinic logistics.
• Be the first point-of-contact for volunteers interested in participating at each clinic – managing volunteer sign-ups and confirming they are trained and ready to volunteer as well as fielding questions about the opportunity.
• Supervision and review the applications prepared by volunteers at the clinic to confirm that applications are ready to send (or not), and that the full application package is assembled correctly and placed in envelopes ready to mail.
• Complete near-final applications which were unable to be completed at the clinic.
• Complete administrative responsibilities required for all PBRC programming (data entry in client database, scanning applications).
• Work with PBRC’s tech support to maintain the clinic laptops and printer.

Qualifications:
• Two to four years of experience in immigration law (naturalization preferred).
• Familiarity with Citizenship Works and/or Salesforce.
• Spanish language fluency preferred.
• Admission to practice before at least one state bar.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
 • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well with a variety of people, including other staff, volunteers, clients, and public interest partners.

 Amenities:
• Competitive salary ranging from $88,000 - $95,000, depending on experience
